American Council on Education (ACE) Fellows Seminars
· Studied current strategies to manage conflict in the work place
· Analyzed and manipulated JSU's 1999 Operating budget using ACE's
financial simulation computer program to understand university-level funding
processes
· Conducted survey of America's HBCUs to assess the status of technology
implementation on the various campuses
· Developed a keen understanding of higher educations issues, experienced
first-hand the challenges and responsibilities of senior administration,
and gained knowledge of a variety of strategies to address current issues
Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) Board Office Projects
· Served as executive staff in the Office of Academic Affairs at
IHL
· Collected and analyzed national data on engineering schools in
the country
· Reviewed post-tenure review (PTR) policies across the country
and made recommendations regarding PTR for Mississippi's university system
· Prepared universities mission and SREB classification report
for JSU
· Reviewed implementation of Ayers Programs at JSU
