The School of Engineering - New building slated for completion in 2007

The School of Engineering at Jackson State University provides students with quality undergraduate and graduate programs that incorporate the systems aspect of professional engineering practice.

Our programs are designed to prepare graduates for advanced study in the major or related fields and for the inter-disciplinary and global workplace. They provide a general education background with an awareness of the professional’s social responsibilities to the community, with an appreciation for the importance of continuing professional development and lifelong learning.

The School of Engineering is committed to ensuring that engineering educational opportunities are accessible to all citizens of the Jackson Metropolitan Area, the State of Mississippi, and the nation and to increasing access to engineering opportunities for African Americans. The School looks forward to the completion of its new building and to moving into those facilities.
