Torrence Mayfield was chosen as the new police chief for the town of Edwards.
Chief Mayfield will head the force that will serve the more than 700 residents in the town.
The 45-year-old Chicago has been in law enforcement for over a decade.
Chief Mayfield oversees a seven member department.
