Transfer Students

Taking the right classes before transferring is an important step in a smooth transition into Jackson State University’s art program. Students who succeed at being admitted at the sophomore or junior level have a portfolio of artwork that demonstrates the necessary well-developed drawing, design, and creative thinking skills. All transfer students are required to take and pass the English Proficiency Exam before graduation.

Transfer students are required to submit final high school transcripts, and official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. JSU does not accept credit courses from colleges/universities when the cumulative grade point average is less than 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. JSU does not accept transfer courses with D grades.
