National Engineers Week is held annually during the third week of February. More than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies pause during this time to call attention to the many contributions that engineers make to society. Since its inception in 1951, engineers have used this observance to emphasize the importance of learning math, science, and technical skills.
