All students who have attended
other colleges and universities and plan on continuing their
education at Jackson State University through the College
of Lifelong Learning are strongly recommended to have all
prior academic coursework evaluated by an advisor.
Students transferring to Jackson State University
through the College of Lifelong Learning should know:
- A maximum of 64.00 semester hours of credit for courses
completed at the freshman and sophomore levels will
be allowed from a community or junior college toward
degree requirements.
- A maximum of 98.00 semester hours is transferable
from an accredited four year institution.
- Jackson State University accepts transfer courses
with “C” or above grades.
- All students are required to have the last session
of residence or its equivalent at Jackson State University
and to complete satisfactorily a minimum of 30.00 semester
hours of courses before graduation.
