Dear Potential Exhibitor:
The College of Lifelong Learning at Jackson State University
extends an invitation for you to become
one of our exhibitors for Spirit of Safety (S.O.S.) Conference, November
10-12, 2008. The purpose
of this national conference is to share with educators and other professionals
connected with schools,
colleges, and universities practical ideas and researched –based
strategies from local and national
experts to promote violence-free educational environments. The conference
objective is to present
current research findings, proven practices, and innovative ideas on violence
and crises in schools.
The conference strands that will be addressed are: Prevention; Intervention;
and Supervention.
These areas will be addressed through a series of presentations by local
and national experts for
approximately 450 participants.
This conference is designed to bring educators,
paraprofessionals, social workers, and parents of
young children together to update skills and learn strategies that will
increase positive character and
behaviors in school and home environments. Therefore, your participation
as an exhibitor would help
us to meet this goal.
The registration fee for standard exhibits (cannot
sell items) is $125; and for special sales exhibits
(can sell items) the fee is $175. If you are interested in participating
as an exhibitor, please complete
the attached Application
for Conference Exhibits, attach your check, and return both
to us in the
stamped envelop provided in this package. Please contact Will Jones at
