Below are the various curricula that are available in the Department of Biology at Jackson State. Students who follow a specific four-year curriculum receive a degree in biology with a concentration in one of the areas listed based upon the curriculum chosen.

 

Students may also opt to pursue a two-year curriculum . Degrees are not awarded by JSU at the completion of these curricula.

 

Four-year curricula:

• Biology (no concentration)

• Pre-Medicine, Veterinary, Dentistry, Optometry

• Pre-Pharmacy

• Pre-Physical Therapy

• Environmental Science

• Marine Science

 

Two-year curricula in health careers:

• Pre-Clinical Laboratory Sciences

• Pre-Health Information Management

• Pre-Dental Hygiene

• Occupational Therapy

• Pre-Nursing
