Students selected from local high schools including Callaway, Wingfield, Madison Central, Murrah, and Piney Woods high schools, are introduced to marine/environmental sciences and meteorology through a combination of classroom studies and exercises, field trips, and hands-on applied field research experiences at Jackson State University, NOAA-Pascagoula Research Laboratory, and Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.

The program is run primarily on Saturdays during academic year and the summer time.
