Research Interests: Biochemistry/Chemical Toxicology.

The main interest of our group is to study the combination effect of light and various industrial and environmental chemicals on human health. Some of the research areas include photochemical reaction mechansim, degradation technology development, DNA interaction and damage, photomutagenity, and photocytotoxicity/photogenotoxicity study. Those environmental and industrial chemicals covered are: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), polychlorobiphenyls (PCB), Polybromodiphenylether (PBDE), Cosmetic chemicals (azulene), and pharmaceuticals (tamoxifen), etc.
