  • Invited by Swedish Academy of Sciences in 2002 to nominate a suitable scientist from India for consideration for the award of Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
  • Appointed as a Technical Advisor on Environment and Ecology to Inter-State and Water Resources Wing to defend the case of Andhra Pradesh before New Krishna Water Tribunal (G.O. Rt. No. 15).
  • Appointed as a Committee Member of the Core Group and an Expert Panel to guide the Inter-state Wing in conducting the cases related to the new Tribunal constituted to adjudicate the disputes in Krishna Basin.
  • Appointed as a Member of the A.P. Sate water, land and trees authority.
  • Acted as a Member in the Board of Governors of the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI), Hyderabad from 2000 – 2002.
  • Acted as a member of UGC and CSIR expert panel in various committees.
  • Acting as Chairman, Board of Studies in Environment, Pharmacy and Biotechnology of JNTU.
