  The Science Educational Partnership Award (SEPA) Program focuses on promoting high school students to become the health messengers who will educate the community on health disparities and work toward improved health outcomes.

Designed for students who have completed at least their sophomore year of high school, the Jackson State University (JSU), SEPA Summer Program and Service Learning Program provide an in depth and hands-on experience with advanced topics in biomedical and clinical sciences .

  Program Goals:  
 
  • To provide enrichment experiences in research and critical-thinking skills to better prepare SEPA Scholars for scientific study and research.
  • To encourage SEPA Scholars to attend college and pursue a science track that will lead to a graduate degree in the biomedical sciences.
