Biography, Larry Day, MBA

Larry L. Day is a finance instructor in the department of Economics, 

General Business and Finance at Jackson State University. He has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Hinds Community College. He graduated with a MA in Finance at Webster University in 2003, where he focused his studies in the field of Public Finance. Between 2000 and 2003, Larry worked as a debt specialist at Merrill Lynch, helping high net worth clients restructure their debt. Between 2007 and 2009, he worked as financial advisor for Smith Barney. Currently, he does financial advisory work for numerous cities, counties and school districts in Mississippi. His research interests fall mainly in the field of personal and public finance, with current research focusing on disparities of interest rates of bond issues between different municipalities.
