What is Epidemiology?


Epidemiology
is a field of study concerned with the methods for elucidating the causes of diseases and for evaluating health services and treatments. (Mawson A, “On not taking the world as you find it – epidemiology in its place”, J. Clin. Epidemiol., 2002;55:1-4).
