About Us

The Department of Facilities & Construction Management (FCM) is under the auspices of the Senior Vice President for Finance & Operations. The Department is responsible for maintaining, planning and designing the University’s buildings, grounds/properties, transportation/vehicular maintenance, and utilities. Jackson State University is a 245 acre campus including exterior properties with 51 buildings comprising over 2.2 million square feet.

The Department is divided into eight sections:

  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Transportation/Fleet Management
  • Custodial E & G/Housing
  • Site Care
  • Moving
  • Safety

The Department has a total of 165 full time positions.
