Application for Graduation, Form III
Congratulations… you are nearing the end of your
specialist degree career at Jackson State University.The Application for Graduation, (FORM III) is filed early in the semester you plan to graduate. Dates are published on the Graduate School Website (Click here for Dates)
Basic Requirements
The
following are basic requirements for all specialist degree students:- Completion of the Degree Plan (FORM I).
- Completed the required semester hours of course work with a ‘B’ average.
- Completion of all departmental
requirements. (see Graduate
Catalog or Departmental Handbook)
- Removal of all Incomplete (I) Grades.
- Completion of the Application for Degree Candidacy (Form II).
At this time you should..
- Review Form I. If you have changed your course of study you may need to file a Revised Form I or a Course Substitution Form.
- Review the "Guidelines for
the Submission of the Specialist Thesis/Project".
- Schedule your Thesis or Project Defense, click here for Dates and Deadlines.
COMPLETE THIS FORM WITH YOUR ADVISOR
- Name and Current Address, the form will be mailed to this address.
- If applicable, indicate the date the Graduate Area Comprehensive Examination was taken or will be taken. (Click here for an application).
- If applicable, list title of your Thesis or Project (Click here for Form A and Form B).
- Approval Signatures: Student, Advisor, Department Chair/Graduate Program Director, Academic College Dean or designee, and the Dean of the Division of Gradute Studies.
NOTE: The Application for Graduation is ONLY good for the semester indicated.
If you DO NOT graduate, you will need to file another FORM III.
