The Mu Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda was founded at Jackson State University on November 16, 1994 with the specific objective of recognizing the academic and leadership accomplishments of graduate students.  The mission of the Mu Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda is to:

  •  Promote leadership development
  •  Promote scholarship and encourage intellectual development
  •  Enrich the intellectual environment of graduate education
  •  Encourage high standards of ethical behavior.

  • The Mu Chapter inducted one hundred forty one graduate students on April 8, 2004.  Ms. Donetta McCullum, Chapter President, welcomed the inductees and guests.  The Occasion for the event was delivered by Ms. Sarah Foote, Coordinator of Graduate Student Support. Dr. Ronald Mason, Jr., President of Jackson State University, was speaker for the ceremony.
