Jackson Heart Study (JHS) Graduate and Training Education Center (GTEC) Daniel Hale Williams (DHW) Scholar Program is committed to connecting our scholars to our expert mentors. With a wide range of career experiences, mentors can provide invaluable advice and guidance to our scholars to help them enhance their cardiovascular epidemiology background and to acquaint them with successful research techniques and manuscript writing strategies. GTEC DHW mentors are poised to develop the next generation of public health leaders and to help scholars discover their career paths. To achieve this objective, GTEC DHW mentors make themselves available to the scholars by phone or email to do a resume review, discuss networking strategies, or conduct an informational interview about their career path and their research interests.
