The Bachelor of
Science in History
Degree Program
The Department of History
and Philosophy requires at least 30 hours of
History in addition to History of Civilization. There is no
maximum number of history hours.

- HIST 211 and 212 - Survey of Europe or 6 hours
in European History
- HIST 325 - Mississippi History
- HIST 344 and 447 - Historiography &
Research Seminar
- Additionally, 21 hours of Social Science
