Welcome to Jackson State University and our residence life website! You are about to begin the most exciting time of your life. Living on campus can be an exciting and rewarding experience.

Our Residence Life Program offers a variety of programs to meet students' needs. I encourage you to participate in Hall Governance, attend programs and become actively involved in activities offered by the Residence Life Programming Coordinator. Whether you are beginning your collegiate experience or simply becoming a part of our residential community, I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities, which await you.

By becoming a part of our residential community, you not only have the convenience of living close to classes, but you are close to the library, laundry facilities, tutors, computer labs, the student health center and you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs and activities. Living on campus also offers helpful and supportive staff, secure environment, academic support, leadership development, and employment opportunities.

We offer a diverse living-learning community that is comprised of traditional residence halls, and suites. I strongly encourage you to become actively involved in our living/learning communities and I challenge you to become a leader in your residence hall community. The staff and I are ready to assist you in making your experience at Jackson State University a rewarding experience.
