Internet Connection
Student Computers should meet minimum recommended specifications.
- CPU 1Ghz
- RAM 128MB
- Hard Drive 10GB
- Network card (NIC) and RJ-45 cable
- Operating system Windows 2000 or higher
- Up-To-Date anti-virus software
Students are responsible for maintenance, repair, and service of their computers. JSU Support Service Personnel will not work on student computers.
Students are responsible for purchase and installations of software on their computers. JSU Support Service Personnel will not install software.
JSU Support Service Personnel will provide network connections for student computers.
Routers are not acceptable in the residence halls unless configured by JSU's Information Technology Department. All unauthorized routers will be confiscated and possible judicial actions may be taken for failure to adhere to this policy.
Note: Wi-Fi is now available in all residence halls.
