Residence Hall Agreement

It is important that you read the housing lease agreement and thoroughly before signing.  Return the white and yellow copies to the Housing Office and keep the pink copy for your personal records to be presented at check in time.  You will also need the pink copy of the lease agreement to obtain your post office box, eat in the dining hall until you have completed registration and for a parking decal.

The housing agreement you signed is for the entire academic year. You have two weeks from the date the residence hall opens to break the contract and receive a percentage refund. After the two-week period, you are locked into the contact until the end of the semester. You will receive 95% back the first week, and 90% back the second week if you withdraw from the residence hall before the deadline.  For further information, feel free to contact the Housing Office at (601) 979-2326.

Never move off campus without properly checking out of the residence hall. Failure to properly check out of the residence hall will result in additional fees assessed to your account.

The proper procedure to withdraw from the residence hall is as follows:

  • Contact your Community Director for the appropriate form (Residence Hall Release Form).
  • Fill the form out completely.
  • Clean your side of the room, or the entire room if living as a single. Contact the residence hall staff so that they may check the room before you leave.
  • Return your key or have your ID card deactivated.
  • You may bring the Residence Hall Release form to the Housing Office or the Community Director will submit it for you.
  • Failure to check out properly and clean your room will result in a disciplinary fine.
