Student life is a major factor in a successful university experience.
Many programs and services are provided to assist the transition into a new academic environment and to support success both inside and outside the classroom. These include student leadership programs, academic and social activities, internship/co-op, job counseling and study abroad programs. Programs are also offered for high school students and the community.
Students can also enjoy extracurricular activities, on-campus artistic events, sporting events, volunteering opportunities, and JSU’s award-winning marching band, the Sonic Boom of the South.
