Admissions Requirements


A minimum GPA of 3.0 (B average, on a 4.0 scale) at the undergraduate level is required for regular graduate admission. A GPA of at least 2.80 at the undergraduate level is required for conditional admission.

1.    The Graduate Application for Admission.


2.    Two official transcripts from all accredited colleges and universities attended.

3.    Out-of-state applicants must submit a $25 application fee by money order.

4.    Proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella is required of all students unless exempt

5.    International Applicants can find additional requirments on the Division of Graduate Studies website

All required information and materials MUST be received by the Division of Graduate Studies by the following deadlines to ensure full consideration:

Fall – March 1

Summer – March 15

Spring – October 15

In addition to the requirements for general admissions, applicants must send the following materials directioly to the Department of Mass Communications for review:

A succint statement of purpose that includes applicant academic experiences and furture academic and/or professional goals

Three letters of academic/professional recommendations

Results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
