Accreditation

The Department of Mass Communications at Jackson State University in The School of Communications is one of 111 programs approved by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC). ACEJMC is the organization that is primarily responsible for the assessment and evaluation of the professional journalism and mass communications programs with four-year academic programs in colleges and universities.

ACEJMC requires those 111 accredited institutions to make public their retention and graduation data on the departmental websites.

Institutions are required to update their information every year by August 1.
