Mississippi Delta Region Impaired Driving Prevention Initiative

The goal of Metro Jackson Community Prevention Coalition’s MS Delta Impaired Driving Prevention Initiative, is to work collaboratively with local, county, and state law enforcement officers to deliver public information and enforcement (PI&E) in the Mississippi Delta (Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, Desoto, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Panola, Quitman, Sharkey, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, Warren, Washington and Yazoo) as well as Marshall and Yalobusha counties to the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety’s efforts to reduce the number of traffic crashes, injuries, property damage, and fatalities involving vehicle operators with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 g/dL or greater (adults); .04 or greater (commercial vehicle operators); and .02 or greater (drivers under the age of 21).
