Classroom Presentation(s) – Alcohol abuse prevention and substance use prevention should begin before children face the issue of alcohol/drugs.  Unfortunately more children in high and middle schools face alcohol problems.  Our program, “The MS Delta Region Alcohol Countermeasures Impaired Driving Prevention Initiative” – is to reduce underage drinking with teens, reduce crashes and reduce fatal accidents in the MS Delta.

Community Forum Presentation - Alcohol abuse prevention and substance is an issue that affects everyone. This outreach effort is to educate the local community and work with law enforcement. This program, “The MS Delta Region Alcohol Countermeasures Impaired Driving Prevention Initiative” – is to reduce underage drinking with teens and adults, reduce crashes and reduce fatal accidents in the MS Delta.

MJCPC at the Lexington Public Library – for a Community Prevention Fourm; 

A prevention project that aims to create safe and healthy communities by reducing problems associated with alcohol – impaired driving. Project staff provides education, training, and technical assistance in the MS Delta Using mass media campaigns, efforts focus on increasing community awareness of driving under the influence (DUI) enforcement operations.

At Leflore County H.S. Sept. 2014 - Reducing the "risk factors" in the environments of children that increase the odds they will become involved in high-risk behavior (alcohol use), while increasing the "protective factors" that buffer children from the full impact of risk factors and other life stress.
