Call Me MiSTER Cohort II   MISTER Markeith Donerson

Hello, I am MISTER Markeith Donerson, a graduate of Callaway High School, located in Jackson, MS. As a JSU Call Me MISTER Cohort II member, I will graduate in the spring of 2017. My current major is Elementary Education with a concentration English and Language Arts, and I plan to teach 3rd grade. My extracurricular activities while being a member of the JSU Call Me MISTER program include, President of the Call Me MISTER student association, Vice President Elect of JSU Mississippi Educators Student Association, a Gentlemen’s Academy member and a mentor for LitWorld. Being a part of The JSU Call Me MISTER program has helped me become an effective leader. I have a deep responsibility to make a change in the American Education system for the betterment of all students and to be a symbol of hope and achievement while doing so.

 

Call Me MiSTER Cohort II   MISTER Deon Holder

Hello, I am MISTER Deon Holder, a graduate of Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School, located in Indianapolis, IN. As a JSU Call Me MISTER Cohort II member, I will graduate in the spring of 2017. My current major is Elementary Education with a concentration in Math Education and I plan to teach 2nd and 3rd grade. My extracurricular activities while being a member of the JSU Call Me MISTER program include being a member of JSU W.E.B. DuBois Honors College, Vice-President of Call Me MISTER student association, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, a Gentlemen’s Academy member, a track and field athlete and a resident assistant to name a few. Being a member of The JSU Call Me MISTER program has given me direction and helped me focus my efforts to becoming the best educator I am able to be. If I can get the students I come into contact with to want for themselves, as much as I want for them, the world will surely change for the better.

 

Call Me MiSTER Cohort II   MISTER Devonte’ A. Stewart

MISTER Devonte’ A. Stewart is a graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, Ga. As a member of JSU Call Me MISTER Cohort II. Stewart is expected to graduate in the spring of 2017. His current major is Elementary Educating K-6 with a concentration in English/Language Arts. Stewart plans to teach 1st-5th grade. Along with being a member of JSU Call Me MISTER program, Stewart is the Liaison at Holy Temple of Salvation Christian Church in Atlanta, Ga. He is also a member of Gentlemen’s Academy and Literature World Reading Club. “Being a part of JSU Call Me MISTER has helped me enhance my leadership skills and tune my teaching style. I believe education is the foundation of anyone’s journey to success. I can be apart of the journey then, know that I am on the correct path that God has placed me on.
