Dr. Gregory E. Opara-Nadi, associate director for contractual services and lead evaluator at the Mississippi Urban Research Center, earned the doctor of philosophy degree in organization and management from Capella University. Dr. Opara-Nadi’s dissertation research focused on a performance-based comparative analysis of an electronic self-check-out system vs. a cashier operated system. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rust College and a master’s degree in business administration from Jackson State University. He has completed additional training in program, project and organizational evaluation from the University of Tennessee, Institute for Assessment and Evaluation, and has completed continuing education hours from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.
Dr. Opara-Nadi has been employed at MURC since October 2001. He has extensive evaluation experience, having conducted program evaluation for numerous MURC national, regional and local training programs and research projects. Additionally, Dr. Opara-Nadi has over 20 years of experience teaching statistics for business and economics on the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Opara-Nadi‘s proven record of successful and productive evaluation experiences and leadership serve to enhance MURC’s contractual services unit.
