| Goals: |
1.) To identify and develop educational, research and cultural opportunities with China, Taiwan and other parts of Asia. 2.) To serve and facilitate JSU student and faculty interests and its Chinese/Taiwanese partners on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. 3.) To develop and include a Mandarin Chinese minor, and consequently, a Chinese major at JSU. 4.) By recruiting more Chinese/Taiwanese students to JSU, and sending more JSU students to China/Taiwan, diversity and multiculturalism at Jackson State University and its partner Institutions of Higher Learning in China and Taiwan would be enhanced. 5.) Serve as a catalyst to motivate HBCUs to develop multi faceted relationships with China and Taiwan. |
