Students are selected for this scholarship based on:  Leadership qualities (exemplified by organizational and extracurricular, professional or community involvement activities).  Graduate student applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above.  Master's applicants must be full-time students in accordance with their discipline's requirements.  Undergraduate student applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or above.  Doctoral applicants are not required to be full-time students.  Doctoral applicants must have passed the comprehensive examination and have the dissertation proposal approved by the dissertation committee.  Scholarships may be awarded for doctoral dissertation work.
