JSU accreditation reaffirmed for 10 years
December 6th, 2011 by andisites
As we approach the holiday season, Jackson State University has great cause to celebrate. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools reaffirmed the university’s accreditation for 10 years! Reaffirmation is very important to us as an institution. As the SACS website states, reaffirmation signifies that an institution has “a purpose appropriate to higher education and has resources, programs, and services sufficient to accomplish and sustain that purpose.”
Jackson State has long established itself as an institution dedicated to preparing its students for the careers they want and that the world needs. This reaffirmation acknowledges the hard work Jacksonians do every day to remain on the cutting edge and to push us into the future. I especially extend a heartfelt thank you to the leaders of our team, Dr. Nicole Evans, Associate Vice President for Institutional Research and Planning, the JSU SACS Accreditation Director, and to Dr. Robert Blaine, Professor of Music, the QEP Director, and to each of their teams for all their dedication and diligence.
Congratulations to the entire Jackson State University family.
