 Dr. Preselfannie Whitfield McDaniels currently serves as Associate Professor & Chair of English and Modern Foreign Languages.   She is an active undergraduate and graduate professor and researcher, whose grant activities, scholarly presentations, and publishing lie within the realms of portfolio pedagogy, capstone pedagogy, service-learning integration, and contemporary and 20th Century American and African American literature. She has published articles in the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Reflections: A Service Learning Journal, Journal of Ethnic American Literature, Publications of the Mississippi Philological Association (POMPA) Journal, Black Magnolias: A Literary Journal, and The Researcher, and chapters in Constructing the Literary Self: Race and Gender in 20th Century Literature (Patsy Daniels, editor) and Presenting Oprah Winfrey, Her Films, and African American Literature (Tara Green, editor). Her degrees are all held in English: B.A. from Jackson State University (W.E.B. DuBois Honors College), M.A. from Mississippi College, and the Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.   Dr. McDaniels served as QEP Coordinator from 2013-2015.
