The purpose of the Interdisciplinary Alcohol/Drug Studies is
to provide an interdisciplinary, humanistic, academic and programmatic setting for
continued study and research on the use and misuse of mood-altering subtances and the
effect of HIV/AIDS and other STDS. The Center provides capacity-building technical
assistance and training to minority community-based organizations and agencies serving
racial and ethnic minorities at risk for HIV/STDS, low levels of immunization, or TB.
