Designed to help faculty find ways to balance the demands of teaching, research and service, this workshop addresses the following topics: integrating research interests and techniques into teaching, creating structured research time, carefully choosing service commitments that complement teaching philosophy and/or research agendas, learning to say "no" to service requests, applying for fellowships and grants that reduce teaching loads, and periodically assessing the balance one has achieved.
Light refreshments will be provided.
