Dianne Pinderhughes, President’s Distinguished Professor at the University of Notre Dame, presented the fourth Holden Lecture, “Being President: Barack Hussein Obama and Black Politics after the Civil Rights Revolution.”

Glenn Loury, the Merton P. Stolz Professor of the Social Sciences and Economics at Brown University, presented the third Holden Lecture, “Barack Obama and the Future of the Black Prophetic Tradition.”

Theda Skocpol, the Victor S. Thomas Professor of Government and Sociology at Harvard University, presented the second Holden Lecture, “What A Mighty Power We Can Be: African American Fraternal Groups and the Struggle for Racial Equality.”
