Travel Grants
Overview
The Center for University Scholars awards travel grants to full-time JSU faculty members to present papers at professional conferences, participate in faculty development workshops and collect data for research projects. The travel grant may support multiple trips. However, no recipient may receive more than $1,250 for travel in a twelve-month period. The Center directly funds travel within the continental United States only. International travel and travel to Alaska, Hawaii or US territories is referred to the Division of International Programs.
The Center has funded travel for scores of faculty members. They have presented papers and chaired sessions at international and national professional conferences, conduct research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and to participate in professional development workshops like the Laryngeal Imaging Workshop and the Teaching Accounting Information System Workshop.
