The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology has an outstanding faculty and staff dedicated to quality education and science leadership. The College is committed to both the University’s urban mission and improving the quality of life for students, the state, the nation and the local and global community.

The College has interdisciplinary research programs in Biomedical Science, Environmental Science and Computational Science. Teams of faculty researchers join with graduate and undergraduate students to solve problems in engineering, bioremediation, atmospheric science, molecular structure and dynamics, and human health.

 

Students and Faculty

The faculty produce outstanding research and members publish in prestigious journals. They are excellent student oriented teachers as well. Over 2000 students are enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs and 100 full-time faculty members are involved in teaching, research, and service. Many of our undergraduate students have gone on to become research faculty, medical professionals, industrial scientists, and entrepreneurs.

The Jackson State University College of Science, Engineering, and Technology is redefining itself for the 21st century. The School’s Ph.D. programs in Chemistry and Environmental Science, our dedicated young faculty, our strong emphasis on undergraduate research, our continued commitment to recruiting highly motivated students, and our continued growth define our future… and yours.
