School of Social Work undergraduate students meet wtih the Honorable Mayor of Jackson, Chokewe Lumumba, on December 14, 2017.  The focus of their conversation centered on the prevalence of human trafficking and the importance of annual recognition of Human Trafficking Day.  SSW students will attend the Jackson City Council meeting to accept the proclamation recognizing Human Trafficking Day on January 30, 2018 which actually is celebrated on January 11th.  Additionally, the students stressed the need for community involvement throughout the city.
