The JSU Latasha Norman Center for Counseling and Psychological Services Web Page is available for students seeking educational information on various mental health topics and other issues that may impact university students. The website contains resources that may include interactive activities that can assist you in acquiring additional knowledge in the areas you choose to find out more about. Our website provides access to a wide range of information in addition to links for other self-help resources.
The counseling center collaborates with Student Health Services, Dean of Student Life Office, Applied Psychology Clinic, Social Work/SMHART Institute Alcohol and Drug Interdisciplinary Studies, School and Community Rehabilitation Counseling and other campus resources in efforts to meet student, faculty and staff counseling needs.
Our Mission
The Latasha Norman Center for Counseling and
Psychological Services is committed to working with JSU students experiencing certain adjustment challenges as they matriculate through their academic program and college experience. Our mission is to provide services and activities that can assist the JSU student as they transition and seek assistance with building their problem-solving skills, managing relationships and becoming more independent and confident. The Latasha Norman Center for Counseling and Psychological Services is a short-term, non-psychotherapeutic student support service.
