Printing Mangement/Print Quota

What is Print Management?

Print Management is a system that has been implemented in Open Access Computer Labs (OACLs).  This system helps administer printing by keeping track of how much an individual user prints.

What is the purpose of Print Management?

As a result of the rapid growth and changes in technology and economic restraints, and institutional budget restraints, printing resources are being monitored.

Print Management (Print Quota) Rules

Students have an initial quota of (300) sheets.  Graduate students will have an initial quota of (350) pages.

Print jobs cannot exceed (10) pages per job.  Print jobs that exceed this amount will NOT be processed.  Print jobs that exceed (10) pages per job can be printed – See the Print Quota how-to’s section for more information.

Print jobs cannot exceed (3) copies per job.  Print jobs that exceed (3) copies per job will NOT be processed.  See the Print Quota how-to’s section for more information on how to print more than (3) copies.

Additional Print Quota can be purchased at five cents per page.  See the Print Quota how-to’s section on how to purchase addition print quota.

Users are responsible for any and all misprints, blank pages. Etc. on their account. Checking the Number of Remaining Pages and Print Account Activity. Users can check the status of their print quota by logging in to any Open Access Computer Lab workstation.  See the Print Quota how-to’s section on “checking my print quota status” for more information.
