Dear Jacksonians:
Welcome to Tiger World! It is a pleasure to bring you greetings from the Department of Alumni and Constituency Relations. The office is under the umbrella of the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) at Jackson State University. Our mission is to connect with our alumni to help them build a life-long relationship with the institution and to encourage alumni to support Jackson State University.
Our staff works in collaboration with OIA and the Jackson State University National Alumni Association, Inc., (JSUNAA) to advance the goals of the alumni and the university. The office serves four primary functions:
Public Relations and Communications - fostering relationships among alumni individuals, alumni chapters, volunteers, and corporate and civic constituents; maintaining communication between the University and alumni through timely messaging.
Reclaim, Engage and Reunite - developing initiatives and programs to help reclaim, engage, and reunite Jacksonians in the life of the university.
Fund-raising - working with the OIA and the JSU National Alumni Association to build alumni support for Jackson State University by soliciting alumni contributions via fund-raising events.
Operations and Management - maintaining the alumni database to update contact information and the membership database for the JSU National Alumni Association, Inc.
The Department of Alumni and Constituency Relations also coordinates meetings and special events for the JSUNAA. We are proud of our alumni who come from all walks of life, and we appreciate you for your continued support of Jackson State University. Thank you for being “True Blue” to JSU!
