Many changes occur in experimental animals and humans as a result of obesity, particularly changes in drug metabolism as well as a variety of medical problems such as sterility, diabetes, heart disease and other related problems. Therefore, my area of interest lie with the enzymes that alter metabolism of drugs such as the hepatic cytochrome P450 family of enzymes. I am also interested in the family of enzymes that affect the production of testosterone which ultimately affects sterility in obese rodents and humans.
