Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering at Jackson State University. The Department offers two undergraduate degrees in addition to the Master of Science in Engineering degree. The two undergraduate programs, Computer Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering, are both accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

We are very excited about the new opportunities for students here in the metropolitan area of Jackson, Mississippi. Our Computer Engineering program which is accredited by EAC of ABET provides students with broad engineering knowledge that includes the hardware as well as the software aspects of computing devices. The Telecommunications Engineering program, accredited by EAC of ABET, shares some courses with the Computer Engineering and at the same time it emphasizes the new trends in Communications such as wireless communications and digital communications. The Department has state-of-art laboratories where students apply and verify the theories they cover in their classes.
