We offer various pathways for you to take as you grow to be your best as a mathematician. We also provide avenues for you to become acquainted with diverse areas of mathematics and the mathematical sciences careers. As you go through the site, you will become familiar with all of the academic programs in the department and the supporting activities. You will see that we offer programs leading to two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees. We award scholarships and provide financial support to our top students. We are in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and our students work and interact with faculty and students from the other departments in the college. Above all, you will discover that we have highly qualified, caring and dedicated faculty ready to train you to become the best mathematician you can be. While we offer programs leading to the teaching of mathematics degree for those interested in teaching mathematics at the high school or even junior college level, you will discover through the visit that teaching is not the only career path for mathematicians. You could seek careers in medical and pharmaceutical companies, high tech industries, Wall Street Market trading, and so forth. However, mathematics is both challenging and fun. To succeed, you will have to work hard and study diligently. We know you can do it and we are ready to help you along the way.
