Environmental and Occupational Health<\/strong>\u00a0concentration is designed to teach students how to assess and analyze the relationship between basic science and environmental and occupational injuries and diseases.\u00a0 The industrial chemicals, radiation, and other toxic substances absorbed by the environment require ongoing investigation to determine their effects on human health.\u00a0 Students in this concentration examine the science, policies, laws, and regulations that govern how environmental and occupational issues are handled.\u00a0 Furthermore, it provides the knowledge and skills necessary to design and implement prevention measures and to promote healthy behaviors in the workplace.\u00a0 A key objective is to train students to become effective leaders in the field of environmental and occupational health.<\/p>\n
