    5. Enrolled in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology in the Biology or Chemistry\/Biochemistry Department<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. College GPA: 3.0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

      4. \u00a0Accepted to MS Program in Biology or Chemistry at JSU<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         <\/p>\n

        Eligibility<\/i><\/span>:<\/b> Awards are available for students who are first-time freshmen, juniors or first-year graduate students.\u00a0 Applicants should be enrolled in the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Jackson State University in either Biology or Chemistry\/Biochemistry.\u00a0 To be eligible for program student must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Application Process<\/i>:<\/b><\/span> Applications for awards are reviewed by the RISE Internal Advisory Committee.\u00a0 The deadline for applications is July 31 <\/b>with notification of award by August 11 <\/b><\/span>each year.\u00a0 Application forms are available in the RISE Program Office, the Department of Biology or at the program website below.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
