Span of responsibility: CNLV-To coordinate and administer the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for the City of North Las Vegas. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring compliance of housing and community development program’s projects and activities. With a strong focus on budgetary requirements and compliance, I also coordinate the application process for awarding funds. These duties include administering and monitoring contracts and activities of funding-recipients, and other community development projects. I am also the City of North Las Vegas’ Homeless Services coordinator; therefore I organize site visits to various homeless encampments, provide out reach and referral services to homeless citizens, and conduct homeless interventions as needed. CC- To facilitate a series of free, community wide programs, designed to helps parents of school-age children gain an understanding of their children’s development and behavior. Parents learn how to communicate effectively with their children, encourage better behavior, and use positive disciplinary techniques, focused on teaching personal responsibility.
