McKinley Alexander, Jr. is an Associate Professor of Economics in the College of Business, Department of Economics, Finance, and General Business at Jackson State University. He received the Ph.D., in Economics from University of Illinois, his M.A. in Economics from University of Illinois and the B.A. in Economics from Jackson State University. He has been employed as an Executive Vice President for Operations and Strategic Planning, Doctor Physicians, Inc., Tinley Park, IL; Executive Vice President for Finance, Operations, and Planning, Home Comp Care, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer, Home Comp Care, Inc., Matteson, IL; and director of multiple business graduate programs at Jackson State University during his extensive career, as an economist with U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Vicksburg Branch, MS he was responsible for developing procedures for doing an institutional analysis and implementing the same for a Yazoo River Basin Navigation Project. His area of research interest include regulated industries, health care delivery systems, and urban and regional economic issues.
