For Stem Degree List click<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/Document\/2016\/stem-list.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">If STEM OPT extension is based on previous institutions U.S. STEM degree\u00a0<strong>not from Jackson State University<\/strong>, also include:<\/span><\/div>\n<ul style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n<li>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">Copy of previous U.S. STEM degree\/Official Transcripts or Copy of Degree <strong><u>AND<\/u> <\/strong>Copy of I-20 issued for previous U.S. STEM degree<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">A copy of Form I-94 (which can be obtained at<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i94.cbp.dhs.gov\/I94\/#\/home#section\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/i94.cbp.dhs.gov<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">A copy of your current EAD card (front and back)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Copy of Diploma of Official Transcripts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Two (2) passport-style photos. (Write your name and I-94 number on the back of each photo)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Check or money order for $410 payable to &#8220;U.S. Department of Homeland Security&#8221; (The date format for your check should be as follows: month\/day\/year)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><u><span style=\"color: #000000\">Completed<\/span>\u00a0<\/u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/files\/form\/g-1145.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">G-1145 Form<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\">(optional; it signs you up for email\/text message notification of your application&#8217;s arrival at USCIS)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>STEP 3: Submit copies of all documents in STEP 1 and 2 to JSU Global ISSS for review:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"margin-left: 40px\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Complete applications will include the four (4) forms listed in STEP 1 (JSU Global OPT Job Reporting Form, Student Statement of Responsibility, I-983, I-765) <strong><u>AND<\/u><\/strong> STEP 2.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Allow 7-10 business days for processing. A JSU Global ISSS advisor will review your application and issue a new, updated I-20 with a STEM OPT Extension recommendation printed on page 2. BE SURE SIGN PAGE 1 once you receive.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>STEP 4: Mail your application to USCIS:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000\">Application time frame for the 24-month OPT extension<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Students must apply for the 24-month OPT extension prior to the expiration of the first 12 months of \u201cregular\u201d OPT. The application must be received by USCIS prior to the expiration date of the first OPT period EAD in order to be properly (timely) filed.
